First thing's, first. Why in the world are there pineapples stamped all over our brand?

Besides the fact that pineapples are a beautiful and delicious fruit, you mean? We actually did choose pineapples very intentionally, and it isn't because they are on trend. It is because they are the perfect representation of one of our core values. In many island cultures the pineapple is a symbol of warmth, welcome, and hospitality.

In fengshui, pineapples can also represent good luck and prosperity. Of course, there is a pop culture quote that represents pineapples as being proud and standing tall. We think all of these representations are a great indicator of some of our key values: to welcome our fellow humans with hospitality and that if we can be proud of our work, then we will prosper.

When these two values walk hand-in-hand we can be certain that we are leading with morality and an ethical code of conduct in every project we do!

Hello, my name is Amy, and I can help you tell your story.

Let me start by telling you why my mission for Story Seven is to translate complexity into simplicity. In the world we live in we continue to create complexity. It can be overwhelming and fatiguing to our senses. I believe that at the end of the day we are all human and should communicate human-to-human. My approach is to make brands, concepts, ideas, and processes more digestible by approaching communication in this way. We should design our communication so that it is easy to understand no matter how important or complex the topic, because at the end of the day it just makes us more relatable that way.

I began my career by being a student of visual design for the past eleven years. I gravitated towards design because at it's core it is visual psychology. Since earning my B.F.A. with an emphasis in Graphic Design I have worked in marketing, tech, branding, and business consulting. I have worked with a variety of organizations that include everything from a small local non-profit advocating for literacy, startups in Silicon Valley, brands with national audiences, and brands working in international markets. I have become a student of design thinking and been lucky enough to work with Innovation centers and earned my certificate for Insights into Innovation from IDEO.
